Vishtèn is an award-winning Acadian group from PEI and the Magdalen Islands, known for their fiery blend of tradition and innovation. After the loss of co-founder Pastelle LeBlanc, bandmates Emmanuelle LeBlanc and Pascal Miousse embraced resilience and expansion, welcoming back longtime collaborator Megan Arsenault (Bergeron) to continue their musical journey.
“Expansion,” the first album of the Connexions project, is a tribute to the creativity of Pastelle LeBlanc, a composer, multi-instrumentalist, step dancer, singer, founding member of Vishtèn and proud Acadian. Featuring collaborations with De Temps Antan, Catherine MacLellan, Rowen Gallant & Jesse Périard (Ten Strings & A Goat Skin), 6 Hearts (wTim Chaisson & Jake Charron of The East Pointers), Cédric Dind-Lavoie, Julie Pellissier-Lush, Seckou Keita, Catrin Finch.
