Expansion, the first album of the Connexions project, is a tribute to the creativity of Pastelle LeBlanc, a composer, multi-instrumentalist, step dancer, singer, founding member of Vishtèn and proud Acadian. We carefully selected pieces from the over 100 compositions that we have found, so far, on Pastelle’s electronic devices and in writing, offering a poignant testimony to her musical legacy. This project came to life through collaboration with various musicians, each bringing the unique energy from their sonic universe to complete Pastelle’s creations with us.
Expansion is a musical representation of the ultimate aspiration: to expand, evolve, and grow. It is a sonic journey inviting listeners to contemplate the ever-expanding tapestry of life, to embrace change and transformation, and to find inspiration in the idea of infinite possibilities.
